Six 2-hour lessons – How do people know they can’t do something unless they try? This is a great opportunity to discover that you can do something new and adapt to change.
A lot of people I meet, when they learn that I paint, say “I’ve always wanted to paint, but don’t know where to start”. This course is the starting place. These six lessons consist of Drawing, Pastel, Watercolor, Acrylic, Oil and Mixed Media. I show participants the basic concepts and techniques and how to use the tools. Then I do a demo and give them exercises to try. There is no “wrong way”. Participants are encouraged to give it their own touch. They gain confidence to try something new and many find that they are good at one or more of the mediums and go right out and buy the materials they need to do their own paintings. They also love that they can now look at a painting and say, “That’s a pastel” or “I’ve done a watercolor using that technique.”
