Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services – New Mental Adult Health and Addictions Facility, St. John’s
Opportunity for Artists and Creators
Please note: The deadline for this opportunity has been extended to June 15, 2023 and more details regarding project parameters, including pricing, have been added to the call on the Merx portal.
The New Adult Mental Health & Addictions facility is scheduled to open in fall 2024. The vision for the new facility is to be a beacon, a guiding light that resonates with clients, families, staff, and community partners.
In Canada and around the world, integrating visual art experiences within hospital settings is increasingly recognized as a measurable improvement to therapeutic environments, in the context of mental health facilities. NL Health Services plans to include many works of art by artists from our communities in this important new building.
The first Request for Proposals for artwork focuses on three large 3D works.
If you are an artist or creator who makes large artworks that would be suitable to be included inside the hospital, or outdoors on hospital property, please read the full RFP* at: https://www.merx4.merx.com/govnl/solicitations/open-bids/3D-Artworks-for-New-Adult-Mental-Health-and-Addictions-Facility/0000245830?purchasingGroupId=1237586751&origin=1
