Help us build place where the arts are valued, integral and sustainable … for the benefit of all Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.
We believe that creativity and creative people are one of our Province’s most valuable resources, and that high quality, sustainable arts organizations permeate many aspects of our lives, including our own creativity and expression, our vitality as a destination in which to work and play, and our sense of what it means to be from here, living here, and part of the evolving story of Newfoundland and Labrador.
The destabilizing shifts in circumstance, opportunity and perspective brought about by COVID-19 has affected the arts community immensely, and has strengthened our call to action. Since March, 2020, we have connected the arts community in town hall conversations attended by 100+ artists, offered our Business Workshops for Artists at three times our scheduled rate to help provide answers and address gaps, and connected artists with $33,000 worth of performance fees, sponsorships, and in-kind support. We’ve also seen an unprecedented outpouring of generosity from businesses and individuals offering their time, money, and expertise to help protect and nurture our creative sector.
We are moving forward. Our fall programming will help artists find funding, make solid financial plans, fundraise, and work together. We’re training creative facilitators interested in bringing their unique gifts to help build teams, unlock creativity and solve problems, and launching work to help private and public sector teams and individuals access their inherent creativity, adaptability and resilience.
Please consider showing your support so that we can help keep the creative heart of Newfoundland and Labrador beating.
