Is your organization interested in building capacity through training and looking for a funding opportunity to do so? The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Community Capacity Building (CCB) funding program is here to help. Join us for a special information session with Melissa Wheeler, Regional Economic Planning Analyst with the Department of Industry, Energy and Technology, who will discuss the funding opportunities available to organizations through the program.
CCB funding is available to not-for-profit economic development organizations including regional economic development associations, municipalities, industry/sector groups, educational institutions, and any other community-based organizations involved in economic development. The program offers capacity building modules, planning sessions, and industry development sessions to interested stakeholders with a clear link to economic and business development. Organizations may receive up to $5,000 (organizations with a regional focus) or $10,000 (organizations with a pan-provincial focus) in reimbursed costs related to training sessions covering the topics of Strategy and Planning, Organizational Governance, or Co-operative Development.
This is a great opportunity to hear first-hand from Melissa about how the program works, who is eligible and how to apply. You can learn more about the CCB program here.
We encourage participants to review the program guidelines and application form in advance to get acquainted with the different requirements and come prepared with your questions. This workshop is beneficial for both first-time applicants as well as returning applicants.
