Business Volunteers for the Arts is a matching service that connects volunteers from the private and public sectors with local artists and arts organizations.
Volunteers offer pro bono time and services to help arts professionals and practitioners work through roadblocks and develop sound business practices. Our goals? To enhance the sustainability of the arts sector, and to strengthen creative networks throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. In 2020, we matched 12 arts members with over $3,000 worth of pro bono support through this program.
Volunteers offer 1-5 hours per month and are always welcome to decline when we reach out if it’s not a good time and/or a good fit. Once a volunteer’s maximum hours/month has been reached, we will not reach out again until the year is up.
BANL acknowledges the financial assistance of the Law Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador. The Law Foundation, established in February, 1980, provides grants to advance public understanding of the law and access to legal services.
Everyone has a skill that’s valuable to the arts community! Our current database includes 1800 annual volunteer hours, including:
