Program and Marketing Assistant

Business & Arts NL is a nonprofit organization working to deepen collaboration between the private and creative sectors in our province. We are seeking a Program and Marketing Assistant to help our small team work through our busiest time of year. This dynamic, part-time position offers valuable hands-on experience in executing cross-sectoral partnerships, live event production, and digital marketing strategy. This position runs from September 8 to November 30, 2026.
You will play a vital role in supporting our flagship Creativity & Innovation Summit while helping maintain and grow our digital audience engagement for our fall programming.
Reporting to the Executive Director, your key responsibilities will include:
Creativity & Innovation Summit - Stakeholder Engagement
Assist in processing sales, customer inquiries, and ticket registration for the Creativity & Innovation Summit.
Serve as a key liaison for corporate sponsors, ensuring benefit fulfilment and seamless partner communication.
Manage customer support and attendee communications to ensure a seamless participant experience.
Production and Live Event Support
Provide hands-on operational and administrative support for Summit set-up, post-event teardown.
Coordinate on-site logistics including venue signage, speaker check-in, registration desk management, and attendee flow.
Assist the team in real-time troubleshooting during the course of the event.
Social Media Marketing Support
Analyze, adapt, and deploy targeted multi-platform social media campaign assets while contributing to the evolution of our digital engagement strategy.
Support social media deployment for fall programming across designated channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook).
Perform light graphic design support by adapting, resizing, and modifying pre-existing brand assets.
Collaborate on assessing and modifying ongoing social media engagement strategies to drive audience growth.
You are an ideal candidate if you:
Bring a proactive, self-directed mindset and thrive in high-autonomy environments.
Possess a high level of organization and attention to detail
Can manage several concurrent projects/objectives simultaneously
Have strong written and verbal communication skills
Have a familiarity with social media platforms and basic graphic design tools
What we offer:
20 hours per week with moderate flexibility in terms of hours and schedule (may be more during weeks when events are taking place)
Flexible remote and in-person work
$22-$25/hour (based on experience)
Work as part of a small, dynamic team
