  • BVA is a matching service that connects volunteers from the private and public sectors, including lawyers, accountants, marketing and communications professionals, and others, with local artists and arts organizations for 1-2 hour pro bono connections.

  • Our Business Workshops for Artists focus on subjects such as grant writing, social media marketing, preparing your taxes, fundraising, copyright, and more.

  • Grow to Lead connects leaders in the arts and business communities to help strengthen the arts sector, one relationship at a time. Mentorship pairs work closely together for a minimum of 3 hours per month, for ten months.

  • Team Up With the Arts unites members of the creative sector in the province with potential volunteers who want to make an impact. Together, participants learn through a four-part program created in partnership with the Gardiner Centre, which provides a foundational understanding of governance. Upon completion, volunteers may choose to be matched to join the board of one of the participating arts organizations.

We are experiencing a valuable education and networking opportunity through the Build a Better Board Series that Eastern Edge is participating in at this time. BANL is always tuned into the needs of the arts sector and delivers programming that is always useful and up-to-date. We appreciate the knowledge-sharing and educational opportunities the team at BANL brings to the arts community in an accessible way.

  • Christine Hennebury, Writer

“I always enjoy when Business & Arts NL offers one of their Business Workshops for Artists. Not only do I get the information I need but the instructors end up answering questions I didn't even know I had! The team at Business & Arts NL really works hard to create such a welcoming learning environment that really helps artists navigate the space between their creative skills.”
