  • The 2026 (Un)Common Threads Creativity & Innovation Summit will take place at the Sheraton Hotel on November 5, and will welcome 200–250 participants from across the private, public, and creative sectors. The annual Summit features speakers, networking opportunities, and experiences designed to explore creativity and spark new connections across sectors. Artists and their worldview and expertise are placed at the heart of this conversation. We’re seeking short performances including music, dance, theatre, standup comedy, and multidisciplinary arts to add a spark of surprise, moment of contemplation, or burst of energy to the day.

  • We’re seeking artists/artist teams to create and present hands-on, participant-driven experiences that take place throughout the (Un)Common Threads Creativity & Innovation Summit, to encourage conversation and connection between attendees.

The event is focused on the value of creativity to individuals, workplaces, and society. These activities, interspersed between more traditional opportunities to network, alongside inspiring speakers from various creative backgrounds, are an important driver of engagement and conversation at this event.

  • Corporate Connections – a group of business leaders and business owners – is holding their annual conference in St John’s this October.

On the afternoon of October 20, they are inviting a small number of members of the Business & Arts NL community to join them for an interactive workshop on how to build and activate your professional network in support of you and your business.

Come meet real business leaders from across Canada and around the world in an intimate setting where you will have the opportunity to connect and learn from each other in the spirit of creating meaningful experiences and build long-lasting relationships for business or personal growth.
