Do You Have a Year of the Arts Success Story to Share?
Year of the Arts contributed $15 million dollars to the arts sector in Newfoundland and Labrador. We'd love your help in sharing the incredible impact this initiative has had on artists, organizations, communities, and the economy.
As the Year of the Arts wraps up, Business & Arts NL is excited to spotlight the transformative effects of this funding boost in an upcoming Spotlight on Partnerships newsletter. We want to highlight the real stories behind the numbers – how this support has empowered creativity and growth in Newfoundland and Labrador’s arts sector. Join us in celebrating these successes by sharing your experience.
How to help
We are looking for 150-350 word testimonials about how this funding made a positive impact this year, accompanied by a photograph. Please email info@businessandartsnl.com by November 22. 2024.

Share one great outcome from your project. Whether it’s a powerful story, impressive statistics, or personal reflections, share a standout achievement that came from your Year of the Arts funding.
Areas to consider when telling your story:
Impact on Artists:
Which artists were impacted? (Consider their demographics, career stages, or location.)
How were they impacted? (Think about financial gains, increased audience exposure, new collaborations, and artistic development.)
Impact on Audiences:
Who participated or engaged with your work? (Share audience numbers, demographic information, and audience feedback.)
What did they participate in? (Events, workshops, exhibitions?)
Impact on Your Organization:
How did this impact audience engagement? (Include social media interactions, website traffic, and networking opportunities.)
How was your staff affected? (Number of staff hired, length and quality of contracts, professional development opportunities.)
Did this enhance your organization’s connections with the community? (New relationships, partnerships, collaborations.)
How did this align with your organization's goals? (For example, advancing Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and/or Truth and Reconciliation initiatives.)
Impact on the Community:
How did the project foster volunteerism? (Who volunteered? Why did they participate? How much time did they give?)
Did the project increase belonging, inclusion, or social cohesion? (Share testimonials or examples of diverse stakeholder involvement.)
What teaching or learning opportunities emerged?
Impact on the Economy:
How did your project boost tourism or contribute to the local economy? (Revenue generated through a multiplier effect.)
What employment opportunities were created? (Number of staff hired, length and quality of contracts, where these opportunities happened)
What additional funding or revenue streams did your project bring in? (Ticket sales, product sales, or new relationships with donors/sponsors.)
