  • Party Plates

These small plates started as a warm-up exercise. Whenever I have a day at the wheel, I start by making six small plates — but repetition has never been my strong suit and these bread and butter plates evolved! With a variety of surfaces and textures — often involving beach sand, I think these plates are fun and ideal for entertaining.

Whether your party involves birthday cake or drinks with canapés, your guests will enjoy choosing their favourite plate from your collection.

  • Charissa Reeves is a self and community studio taught potter residing in St. John’s Newfoundland.

Her pieces are hand built and have a hint of the whimsical and magical about them but are deeply rooted in a connection to the natural world. When she first started in 2019 and 2020 her focus was on jewellery and functional pieces. By 2023 her pieces started to change and lean more towards sculpture.

Though there is certainly still a strong functional aspect to her pottery, her pieces now often feature tiny, sculpted animals.

  • This "critter dish" features a loon. Various critters can be found on my critter dishes including but not limited to, seals, puffins, frogs and mice.

  • I am a photographer from Newfounland and Labrador who was born on the coast of Labrador but has called St. John's home since attending Memorial University for the first time in 1983.

The City of St. John's has been a major source of inspiration for my photography as I began to capture the beauty of the colourful rows of jellybean houses that wind and gambol down the twisted streets of the oldest city in North America.

Photography, for me, is a therapeutic exercise, an opportunity to live in the moment as I lose myself in the process of capturing the unique beauty of the simplest things.

  • This is my 2026 wall calendar. It is filled with scenes that reflect the beauty of not only St. John's but also some of the most visited and admired scenery from the east coast of the island of Newfoundland by tourists and locals alike.

If you are living away from the island it will surely bring back fond memories of your home on The Rock... if you know someone who has visited our island paradise it will certainly remind them of the good times and friendly people they have been blessed to meet and experience here in Newfoundland.

  • Island Stone Designs is owned and operated by Kyle Bennett. All products are crafted from stones found locally from the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. The creation process uses both modern power tools and traditional hand tools. Each piece is created with the goal of enhancing the natural beauty within the stone. As each stone is shaped and polished the intention is to add a delicate and fluid quality, juxtaposed to the heavy, rough nature of rocks.

Island Stone Designs has been a natural evolution through Kyle’s passion for geology, exploring the province, and his artistic practice. Island Stone Designs was established in the 2017, and is based out of Branch, Newfoundland

Fishing stages are traditionally wooden structures that are built along the shoreline, composed of a wharf platform and stage shed that is used in fishing activities such as boat landing, gutting and splitting fish. These tiny stone fishing stages are an homage to the stages that served the fishing industry for centuries.

Clothing & Textiles

  • Vanessa Oates is the creator behind Mauzy Day.

As a textile artist based in Newfoundland, she works with wool to create art that reflects the everyday scenery, culture, and rhythms of rural life. Vanessa's work explores how softness can carry strength - how fiber can hold memory, identity, and meaning. Tufting allows the opportunity to build rich, tactile surfaces that invite a slower kind of viewing and interaction. The use of wool is intentional and intimate. It speaks to the land we live on, the climate we endure, and the self-sufficient spirit woven into our communities. Peices include both wall hangings and floor rugs, following signature designs or working directly with the client to help bring a custom design to life.

  • "Blueberry Patch" was inspired after a summer afternoon of berry picking in the hills of beautiful Brigus. An activity many Newfoundlanders look forward to each year. The piece as shown is hard backed and ready to hang, completed with a waterfall edge, sized 9x11in. However, any size up to 2x3ft can be accommodated, completed with hard backing or framed.

  • From Silence to Suffrage reveals the remarkable history of how Newfoundland women won the right to vote, despite fierce opposition.

Duley documents the long struggle of Newfoundland women to organize starting in the early nineteenth century. She follows the women’s temperance movement, along with public debates about poverty, domestic violence, alcohol abuse, prison reform, and other issues considered too delicate for “respectable” women to discuss.

She reveals the lives of women leaders—mostly long-forgotten—who fought for change against fierce resistance. They include Armine Gosling, a remarkably advanced thinker for her time, among other inspiring suffragists who took up the cause.

Through persistence, the Newfoundland Women’s Franchise League overcame political opposition and popularized the radical idea of women voting & running for office.

  • My name is Marin. I was born, raised, and educated in Bulgaria. My father passed away when I was one year old. My mother remarried. I grew up with my paternal grandparents.

I studied nuclear physics, art, and literature.

With my pregnant wife, I emigrated to Canada in 1990.

I owned an advertising agency for many years.

After I retired, I began creating picture books.

So far, I have published sixteen titles. They are all listed on the major book wholesalers and retailers. Several of them have received awards.

I genuinely enjoy the process of writing, illustrating, designing, and publishing my titles, a thoroughly one-man labour of love. This way, I am fully responsible for the quality of my creations.

  • 'TWAS THE NIGHT is my first published wordless book.

It is #5 from the 2GETHER BOOK COLLECTION.

It narrates a heartwarming Christmas story through illustrations alone.

The storyline follows a young boy in a wheelchair who discovers an injured white dove on the sidewalk. He compassionately takes the bird home to nurse it back to health. The absence of other people, vehicles, or animals throughout the book emphasizes the unique bond between the boy and the dove, creating a dreamlike holiday atmosphere.

The story encourages readers to interpret the visuals personally and embrace the underlying message: dream big.

Why wordless book, you may ask.

My goal is to encourage readers' imagination, helping them create their own stories following the illustrations.

In their hometown of New-Wes-Valley on the northeast coast of Newfoundland, Janet creates original artwork in the form of oil paintings, relief prints and hooked mats, while Duke creates Norton’s Cove Knots, a series of decorative nautical knots using salvaged fishing industry ropes.

Norton’s Cove cards, mini-prints and bookmarks is a series of linocut relief prints that are very affordable and collectible, in lots of designs and colours to choose from. Janet is currently working on a popular series of Smudge Herring paintings ranging in size/colour/price.

  • The photo shows Norton's Cove Card, Mini-Print, and Framed Mini-Print in the Mussel Heart image.

Each lino-cut impression is made by hand at Norton's Cove Studio. An image is drawn onto linoleum, the design carved with v or u groove knives, and then ink is rolled from a glass plate to the carved linoleum. The printing matrix is placed on the press bed, paper laid on top, and then rolled through the press by turning the ship-like wheel. The ink is left to dry for a couple of days, and the images are then shaped into cards, matted, or framed. Each Norton's Cove piece is an original work of art.

  • Hi! I am a self taught watercolour artist. I started watercolour painting during Covid. I love to paint with bright, happy colours of simpler images. I’m 67 years old and spent most of my life in Fleur de Lys, NL. I worked on the offshore oil rigs for a number of years but I’m currently working in the dish pit at the Valentine/ Equinox gold mine. I hope to paint more when I retire.

I’m deaf but I received a Cochlear Implant about 10 years ago. It was life changing. I always thought I was quiet, shy and no confidence. However, once I received my implant, I discovered I’m not any of those things. I was just deaf!
