Business & Arts NL is proud to launch a new series of workshops around financial literacy focused on serving the needs of artists, arts organizations and creative entrepreneurs. While we can’t see into the future, we can do our best to prepare for it by getting on the right financial footing. First up is The Importance of Budgeting and Cash Flow Planning with Greg O’Brien of Dunphy Molloy & Associates, who will provide a crash course in budgeting fundamentals.

And what can the arts do to help businesses be resilient right now Join us for Corporate Sponsorship and the Arts, a panel discussion between local arts organizations and businesses about how to navigate sponsorship relationships through COVID-19 and beyond.
Maintaining Respectful Workplaces

Canada’s Cultural Human Resources Council (CHRC) is supporting efforts to address all kinds of harassment in arts workplaces (including sexual harassment bullying, discrimination and violence), and to lay the groundwork for “respectful workplaces” as the norm in the cultural sector. Jenn Deon will facilitate the official CHRC’s Maintaining Respectful Workplaces workshop, which will explore how to best deal with harassment situations.
