The session will cover key topics such as budgeting, revenue and expense tracking, and tax preparation, tailored specifically for the unique needs of creative entrepreneurs (we’ll even set up and walk through a sample budget with a fictional business, giving you a hands-on learning experience). James Lanning has over nine years of experience working in various roles in businesses ranging from Financial Controller to Director of Operations. He graduated from Memorial University with a B. Comm in 2014, earned his CPA in 2017, his Master’s Certificate in Project Management in 2018, and completed the Oxford Strategic Innovation Programme in 2021. He is a perpetual learner, and has taken a keen interest in improving the lives of business owners and individuals alike by providing them with accurate, timely and consistent financial information so they can focus on growing their businesses.

Jennifer Collins has over 18 years of bookkeeping experience leading an accounting department of over five bookkeepers responsible for over 30 companies and over 1,000 employees. She has completed the Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) designation and is an expert in all things bookkeeping. She’s taken a keen interest in the intersection of accounting and technology, and is continuously learning new ways to improve the accounting process for her clients. Her vast experience, energy and ambition provides her with all the tools to give you and your company financial peace of mind.
